Waterloo, On - Despite unfavorable weather conditions, Zach Burt (Fergus) persevered and competed at a top level, ultimately earning a gold medal. Although he had a difficult first day at the 2023 OUA Championships, the junior golfer made a comeback during the second day of play, shooting an impressive 3-under (68) with only two bogeys and five birdies.

Throughout round 2, Burt steadily moved up in the standings, surpassing seven other competitors to claim first place and the Len Shore Trophy. His victory also helped his team, the Warriors, take home the overall men's team title.
