Golden in Guelph! Men's golf finding their game at right time

The Warriors have had a busy past couple of days with their own two day Waterloo-Laurier Invitational played at Rebel Creek and Grey Silo last weekend before playing in the Guelph Invitational on Monday at the Guelph Lakes Golf Club.

The Warriors came away with a third place finish for the team bronze at their own tournament where 14 teams plus 20 individual golfers battle over the two day event. The tournament is a great precursor for the OUA Championships in two weeks having the strongest field in the province.  Waterloo's two-day total of 295 was good for third spot behind Laurier who finished in first and McMaster who claimed the silver.
The men continued their climb on Monday at Guelph Lakes. The Warriors put together a very solid team performance winning the gold medal with a score of 289, three shots clear of second place Laurier. Jack Deighan (Cambridge/) led the way for Waterloo with an individual silver medal with his round of 70. Graem Costigan (Cambridge/) was next best with his round of 72 while Zach Burt rounded out the top three scores with his 74.
The Warriors' next round is this coming weekend in Windsor.
