Hall of Fame Nomination


Purpose
The University of Waterloo Department of Athletics and Recreation Hall of Fame honours individuals and teams who have made an outstanding contribution to the athletic program at the University of Waterloo. 

Persons are inducted into the University of Waterloo Department of Athletics and Recreation Hall of Fame (HOF) at such time as deemed appropriate by the Hall of Fame committee. 

Qualified individuals may be inducted in the following categories:
  • Athletes [Competed as a student-athlete on a Warrior team in provincial (OUA) or national (U SPORTS) competition]
    • Note: Athletes of the Year inductees were automatically inducted into the Athlete category between 1957 and 2010.  In the 1980’s there was a mass induction into the Hall of the Fame.  These inductees will remain in the Athlete section of the Hall.
  • Teams [Any Warriors team that has competed in provincial (OUA) or national (U SPORTS) competition]
  • Coaches [Coached a varsity team for more than one full season in either provincial (OUA) or national (U SPORTS) competition]
  • Builders/Founders [Member of the Waterloo Warriors staff or community that has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the Department of Athletics & Recreation]
  • Member/Team of Distinction [A student-athlete, coach, administrator or team that has left a lasting, positive impact on the Department of Athletics]
