Warrior Field is available for community booking(s) through the Waterloo Athletics Office.

Item Cost (HST not included in prices)
Field $135/hour
Changerooms $60 flat rate if available
Lights $115 flat fee per day
Sound System/Score Clock $105 flat fee
Event Set-Up $85 flat fee per day - required for spectator or large volume events
Custodial $200 minimum for spectator or large volume events, +$50 per hour if necessary
Staffing $26 per hour, minimum 2 staff for spectator events required
Amplified Sound Exemption Group obtains if required
Contract Termination Fee Notice given beyond 1 week - No Charge
Notice given less than 1 week - $100 + any additional costs incurred by the department
All prices subject to HST

Community Bookings for Warrior Field – Pricing, Policies and Procedures

Payment Information
  • 40% deposit required upon booking
  • All costs are plus HST
  • Payment may be made by Visa, Mastercard or American Express, or cheque. Cash and debit are available in person only in the PAC Athletics Office
Facility Restrictions
  • Payment may be made by Visa, Mastercard or American Express, or cheque. Cash and debit are available in person only in the PAC Athletics Office
  •  Max load capacity of the field - concerts are not permitted on the field
  • No unauthorized field use
  • No metal cleats allowed on the turf field
  • No alcohol beverages are allowed in the facility, field or surrounding area. Your contract will be immediately revoked for this violation
  • No tobacco products on the turf
  • No smoking within the fenced area
  • No pets allowed within the fenced area
  • No food, sunflower seeds and chewing gum on the turf.
  • No driving stakes into the turf
  • The Department of Athletics and Recreational Services reserves the right to restrict the use of the field and anything placed on the field
  • No early access is permitted on the field. Warm up outside of the gate on the grass area is permitted.
  • Any damage incurred to the facility, field or surrounding area is the responsibility of the person signing the contract and will be billed for the accordingly for  the damages 
Additional Notes
  • For the safety of the field particpants and spectators, the field is under video surveillance 24 hours a day
  • $5 million liability insurance required
  • Group must provide security personnel for spectator events
  • 1,500 max spectator seating in bleachers
  • 3,000 spectators on 3 berms
  • Any additional cleaning required eg. sunflower seeds or garbage left on the field or area will result in additional fees
  • $100 minimum charge
  • Future facility bookings are continguent on the facility policies being adhered to
Field Delay and Cancellation Procedures
  • The temporary cancellation or imposed delay of any rental program on any University of Waterloo maintained field or diamond as a result of a previous, current and/or prolonged period of inclement weather is at the sole discretion of the authorized facility staff of the University of Waterloo, Department of Athletics
  • Officials residing over the activity (umpires, referees, convenors) must abide by the decision of the staff under any circumstances
  • In the event of cancellation under the conditions of this policy, the Department of Athletics facility staff will document accordingly and notify the Manager of Facility Operations to make appropriate fee adjustments
  • Lightning and High Winds
  • Activity will cease for 30 minutes following the last clap of thunder is heard or flash of lightning is seen. Activity will cease when winds over 80 km an hour occur
Emergency Procedures
  • A walkie talkie is to be signed out prior to the start of the rental from the CIF Equipment Desk after providing valid  government issued photo ID
  • Should EMS need to be called, the walkie talkie is to be used to contact the desk to initiate the response
  • Failure to inform the CIF staff may result in a delay in response time by EMS
  • A designated first aider or trainer is to be provided by all rental groups and is responsible the treatment of injuries
  • AED unit is available in the CIF lobby
