Barker wins OUA silver while men and women finish fourth at OUA Golf Championships

Rookie golfer Abby Barker (Kitchener/) put together two solid rounds of 78 and 77 at the 2022 OUA Golf Championship to earn the individual silver medal. Her two-day total of 155 was just two back of top finisher, Rylie Grogan of Western. Barker's round helped her team make a big comeback on Day 2 of the championship as the Warrior women finished fourth overall, just one stroke back of Windsor for bronze.

Hana Yoshida (Richmond Hill/) was the next best finisher for the black and gold with her score of 170, good for 15th overall. Nara Sonu (Waterloo/) finished in a tie for 29th and Riley Purdie (LaSalle/) was 38th to round out Waterloo's top four scores.

On the men's side, Graem Costigan (Cambridge/) was Waterloo's top finisher with his two-day total of 150 (75, 75) to claim the sixth spot overall. Alex Turchan (Conestogo/) was next best, finishing in a tie for 13th (72, 80) while Zach Burt was 24th and Jack Deighan (Cambridge/) 49th. Overall the men finished in a tie for fourth, just one spot back of Guelph for third.
