Women's golf is coming in hot into the 2019 OUA Championship next week in Toronto after winning their final invitaitonal of the season. It was the fifth gold medal for the Warriors in six tournaments as the Warriors fired a team score of 252.
Newcomer,
Olivia Richards (Kitchener) was playing as an individual and came away with the top score on the day of 78 to win gold.
Laura Wesselius (Petitcodiac/) was next best with her score of 80 to win silver.
Arrington Bard (Guelph/) and
Claire Konning (Moncton/) each shot 86's while Athlete of the Week,
Elanna Lachaine-DeMarchi (Cambridge/) carded an 89 to round out Waterloo's scoring. The Warriors beat out McMaster (289) who finished second and Guelph (294) who came in third.
The Warriors will now prepare for the OUA Championship played at Angus Glen on October 7 and 8.
