Box Score 2 The Warriors dropped their final two home games of 2017, falling to the Queen's Gaels and York Lions.
On Friday, it was Think Pink night at the PAC in support of Breast Cancer as the Warriors wore pink t-shirts in warm up in support of the cause. Waterloo was up against a top team in Queen's, ranked 10th in the country and lost the contest by a score of 52-35.
Ann Stewart (Yellowknife/) led the Warriors with six points off the bench while
Ella Mahler (Hamilton/) put up five.Â
Meghan Sharp (Kitchener/) had a solid game on the boards with six.
On Saturday, Waterloo was up against a beatable York Lions squad and were within striking distance going into the fourth quarter but got outscored 19-6 in the final frame and the Lions cruised to the 62-40 win. Â
Sydney Wilson (Guelph/) and
Aphia Ward (Beaumont/) gave Coach Nickel some quality minutes putting up 15 and 10 points respectively. Sharp again led the way on the glass, corralling six rebounds. Â
Waterloo will now play their final three games on the road starting next weekend in the big smoke. The Warriors face Ryerson on Friday before battling the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday. Â
