Box Score 2 The Warriors women's basketball team dropped a pair of home games to the Carleton Ravens and Ottawa Gee-Gees this past weekend at the PAC.
On Friday, the Warriors were in tough against the No. 4 team in the country, Carleton as the Ravens got past the Warriors 76-39. Waterloo was led by
Afifa Salad (Cambridge/) who put up 10 points, going 4-for-8 from the field and 2-for-4 from the line.
Sydney Wilson (Guelph/),
Julia Pavlik (Waterloo/), and
Ella Mahler (Hamilton/) each put up six in the loss. The Ravens were led by Heather Lindsay who had a game high 17 points.
On Saturday, Waterloo turned in a strong effort against a tough Gee-Gees squad but dropped the contest 58-36. Waterloo got off to a hot start, leading Ottawa 7-1 in the early going but the visitors found their legs and used their bigs to take over the game in the paint. Waterloo was led by
Sydney Wilson (Guelph/) who had 10 points while Salad and
Hilary Ferguson (Cambridge/) each put up eight.
The Warriors will be back at the PAC this weekend as they host Queen's (Think Pink Game) on Friday and York on Saturday. Both games go at 6pm.
