Box Score The Warriors played only their second game of 2017 on Friday night at the PAC and did not get the result they were looking for as they fell in four sets to the visiting York Lions.
York and Waterloo split the opening two sets (22-25, 25-15) as it was a tale of two different Warrior teams but York would regain their composure in the final two sets (19-25, 22-25) to take it 3-1.Â
Braden Cok (Waterloo) and
Aidan Simone (London) had strong offensive games with 17 and 14 kills respectively while
Jordan McConkey (Stratford) had eight while leading his team in blocks with four.Â
Nikola Dimitrijevic (Mississauga) finished with 35 assists and three service aces.
Waterloo had no answer for Alex Duncan-Thibault of York who finished with 21.5 points in the win. Spencer Dakin Kuiper was also solid in the win with seven kills.
Waterloo who has a heavy second half to their season fell to 4-5 on the season. The Warriors still have plenty of time to make moves in the standings with eight games remaining.Â
The Warriors will be back in the PAC tonight as they take on Nipissing at 8pm.Â
