Reed commits to Warriors men's volleyball program

The Waterloo Warriors men's volleyball team has made a big addition to the program – with emphasis on big

Nolan Reed, a 6'8" right-side attacker from Grimsby, Ontario has committed to the program, and will join the Warriors this fall.

"We are thrilled that Nolan is committed to the University of Waterloo," said Warriors head coach Shayne White. "He's long, athletic, intelligent, and he keeps getting better every day."

The talented lefty comes to the Warriors after his time with MAC Volleyball Club and Team Ontario, so he has plenty of high-profile reps already. And while White is excited to see the skill that Reed will bring to the court, the head coach is equally enthused about the intangibles Reed carries with him into his university career.

"Nolan will add tremendous value to our team with his character and his athleticism," said White. "He comes from a great family, and their values are reflected in his demeanor and attitude. I believe that Nolan will be a very impactful player in the OUA, as he continues his pathway of constant development. His potential is very high, and we're extremely excited and grateful that Nolan is part of our volleyball program."

Reed will be pursuing his Honours degree in Life Sciences, and he's thrilled to get started both on the PAC floor and in the classroom this fall.

"I am very excited to announce my commitment to the volleyball program and Life Sciences at the University of Waterloo," said Reed. "I would like to thank my teammates, coaches, and family for helping me accomplish this next step in my volleyball journey. I look forward to working with a great group of players and coaches at the University of Waterloo."

Reed and his new teammates will open camp this fall, before they kick off the OUA regular season on November 3 against the Guelph Gryphons.
