Osborne, Schlick combine for 35 points as Warriors top Thunderbirds

Box Score The Warriors put together a solid third quarter, outscoring Algoma 24-13 to earn a 73-66 victory in the backend of a double header with the Thunderbirds on Saturday night in Sault Ste. Marie. 

Nicole Schlick (Prince George) had 14 points in the second half and 18 overall to lead the Warriors to their third victory of the season.  Kristen Osborne (Markham) was also a factor in the contest as she usually is with 17 points of her own to finish the two game set with 43 points.  Osborne was also a key part of the win on the boards with 12 rebounds.

Also chipping in on the offence was Emily Wilk (Oakville) with eight points, three assists and two steals while Jenel Ulman (Hamilton) had six points and was strong on the defensive side.

For Algoma Marlee Ball led the way with 23 points while Karissa Kajorinne had 15.  The Thunderbirds received 23 points from the bench in the loss.

The Warriors will return to the PAC next weekend for their final two home games of the season.  On Friday they welcome the Lakehead Thunderwolves before a clash with the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday.  Both games are set for 6pm.
