Box Score The visiting Guelph Gryphons outscored the Warriors by 10 in the opening quarter and the black and gold would chase the game the rest of the way in a 70-54 loss on Saturday night at the PAC.
It was the final regular season home game for the Warriors who dropped to 4-13 while Guelph improved to 9-6.Â
Waterloo struggled from the field shooting 28.1% while Guelph operated at 38%. Guelph also outrebounded the Warriors 54-31.
Kristen Osborne (Markham) led the Warriors in scoring with 13 points and on the boards with 11 rebounds.Â
Nicole Schlick (Prince George),
Jenel Ulman (Hamilton) and
Emily Wilk (Oakville) each had seven points in the loss while
Jacqui Rodrigues (Waterloo) had six in her final game as a Warrior in the PAC.
Guelph was led by Ashley Wheeler off the bench who put up 16 points in 30 minutes of action. Bridget Atkinson had 15 while Kate MacTavish was the third Gryph in double digits with 10.
Waterloo will now head to the Nation's Capital to battle a pair of OUA powerhouse teams in Ottawa (Friday) and Carleton (Saturday).
