Box Score The Waterloo women's basketball team was up against the No.9 Lakehead Thunderwolves on Friday evening and fell short by a score of 92-47 as the T-Wolves proved to be one of the top contenders in the country.Â
A big second quarter saw the home side outscore Waterloo 22-9 and they were able to maintain momentum throughout the remainder of the contest to cruise to their 10
th win of the season.  The T-Wolves are now 10-3 on the season good for first overall in the central division while Waterloo dropped to 3-10 and sit fourth in the west.
Jacqui Rodrigues (Waterloo) was Waterloo's top scorer with seven points while adding one rebound. Also chipping in on the offence for the black and gold was
Emily Wilk (Oakville) and
Marti Killeen (Oakville) who each put up six points. Wilk also had a nice night on the boards with six rebounds.
For Lakehead, guard Jylisa Williams was a one-woman wrecking crew posting a game high 28 points. Williams was 12-for-17 from the field while knocking down all five of her free throw attempts.
The Warriors conclude their six game road trip on Wednesday in Brock before returning home on Friday the 13
th to face Nipissing at the PAC.
