Box Score The Lakehead Thunderwolves swept the two game series with the Warriors topping the black and gold 68-55 on Saturday night at the PAC. The loss dropped Waterloo to 0-9 on the season while Lakehead moved one game above .500 with a 5-4 record.
The Warriors shot a lowly 29.3% from the field compared to Lakehead's 42.6% while the T-Wolves out rebounded Waterloo 35-30.
The difference proved to be a sluggish second quarter for the black and gold where Lakehead outscored the Warriors 21-10.
For the second straight night Carolyn Fragale (Thunder Bay) was on fire notching a game high 22 points going 7-for-11 from the field and 6-for-7 from the line. Katie Ulakovic also from Thunder Bay contributed with 16 points of her own in the win.
Waterloo was led by
Kate Kuntze (Stratford/) with 17 points and four rebounds. Guard's
Laura Bossers (Stratford/) and
Erika Persson (Lund/) chipped in offensively with 10 points each in a losing effort.
Waterloo will look for the win column on Wednesday when they travel to Western to face the Mustangs.
