Bree Chaput, a second year guard of the Hawks finished the game with a career-high 13 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists in one of her best performances of the year.

After a slow start to the game, Laurier went on an 11-0 run midway through the opening quarter to set the tone for the first half. The Hawks would continue to make baskets, getting production from the entire lineup as they took a 45-20 lead after two quarters.

The Warriors would claw their way back into the game in the third quarter as Laurier struggled at the offensive end, scoring just six points in the frame. Waterloo would put up 19 of their own as they cut the Hawks lead to 12.
