The Warriors fell to the No. 3 ranked Western Mustangs 76-51 on Saturday afternoon at the PAC as part of the 12th annual Fantastic Alumni Day.
The Warriors were only down by seven at half, sticking with a very tough Western team, but were outscored 30-15 in the third quarter to fall to the mighty Mustangs.
The first place Mustangs improved to 14-2 on the season while the winless Warriors fell to 0-16.
Four Mustangs reached double-digits in scoring as Jacklyn Selfe led the Mustangs with 14 points. Laura Dally and Matteke Hutzler scored 12 apiece, while Katelyn Leddy had 11 points.
Erin Tilley (Oakville, Ont.) led all Warrior scorers with 14 points, going 4-for-19 from the field and knocking down five free throws. Kate Kuntze (Stratford, Ont.) added 8 points on the afternoon while Meghan Martyna (St. Albert, Alta.) collected a game high 10 rebounds.
The Warriors continue their homestand as they welcome the Lakehead Thunderwolves for a pair of games next weekend.
