Marauders take care of Warriors 67-48

Sabrina Brathwaite scored 10 points and displayed a strong defensive effort on Wednesday night
The Warriors stuck with the Marauders through the first three quarters of action but were outscored 21-13 in the fourth to fall to McMaster 67-48 on Wednesday night in Waterloo.

Waterloo continues to improve on a nightly basis but as expected with a young team, the pressure gets the best of the players in the late going.  Waterloo dropped to 0-15 on the season while McMaster (4-10) picked up their fourth win of the season.   Both teams sit well out of a playoff position.

McMaster was led by Jaklynn Nimec (Binbrook, Ont.) who posted 16 points going 6-for-9 from the field and knocking down 4-of-6 from the charity stripe.  Alyska Lukan (Barrie, Ont.) added 14 points shooting 63.6 percent (7-for-11) from the field.

For the Warriors, Erin Tilley (Oakville, Ont.) had 12 points while athlete of the week Saraya Hickey (Tsawwassen, B.C.) contributed 11 and Sabrina Brathwaite (Brampton, Ont.) put up 10, along with a strong defensive effort.

Next game for the Warriors is on Saturday, January 29 as the Warriors host the Western Mustangs as part of Fantastic Alumni, Faculty and Staff day at the PAC.  Tip-off is set for 1:00 pm.
