Skilled Windsor Lancers hand Waterloo 82-45 loss

The Warriors were in tough against the second ranked team in the country, the Windsor Lancers on Saturday afternoon at the PAC gym in Waterloo.  The Warriors battled and showed their compete level but could not match the skill and poise of the talented Lancer squad falling 82-45.

Windsor outscored the Warriors 20-8 in the first quarter and did not look back as they cruised to their ninth win of the season.  The Lancers are 9-2 on the season four points back of the OUA west divisional leading Western Mustangs.  The Warriors fell to 0-12 on the season.

The Lancers had a well balanced attack with 2009-10 OUA west rookie of the year Jessica Clemencon (St. Rambert, France) leading the way with 19 points going 8 for 14 from the field and nine rebounds.  Providing secondary scoring was Miah-marie Langlois with 12 points.

Erin Tilley (Oakville, Ont.) had a strong game for the black and gold putting up 17 points shooting 50 percent from the field (5 for 10) and going to the line 10 times knocking down seven of them.  Saraya Hickey (Tsawwassen, B.C.) was second in team scoring with 11 points. 

The Warriors travel to St. Catharines for a Wednesday night game with the Brock Badgers.  Tipoff is set for 6:00 pm.
