The injury-riddled Warriors lost their opening game of the OUA regular season 64-47 to the RMC Paladins on Friday evening in Kingston.

The Paladins jumped out to an early 23-15 lead in the first quarter and did not look back as the young Warrior squad fell to a much more experienced RMC team.

Point guard Erin Tilley (Oakville, Ont.) led all scorers with 16 points as she was 3 of 10 from the field and a staggering 10 of 14 from the line.  Hometown girl Stephanie Stone led RMC to victory with 13 points in 31 minutes played.  She was 5 of 6 from the field.  Carolyn Pumphrey (Gander, Nfld.) and Abby Edmison (Carleton Place, Ont.) each added 12 points for the Paladins.

The Warriors look to rebound on Saturday night as they face the Queen's Gaels at the new athletics and recreation centre on campus.

Saturday, November 6 @ Queen's
Queen's 66, Waterloo 42

The Warriors lost their second straight game falling to the Queen's Gaels 66-42 on Saturday night in Kingston as the Gaels put up 28 fourth quarter points to move to 1-1 on the young season.

The Warriors came out strong in the first half as their young roster was put to the test early and answered the call playing strong defense throughout the half.  Waterloo and Queen's were locked at 25 heading into second half.

Queen's took over the game in the second half out-scoring the Warriors 41-17 en route to their first win of the season.

Erin Tilley (Oakville/Warriors) once again led the Warriors with 12 points while a pair of rookies showed some positive signs as Madison Behr (Ancaster, Ont.) and Laura Burnett (Heidelberg, Ont.) picked up 8 and 7 points respectively.

Queen's forward Gemma Bullard of Guelph, Ont., led all scorers with 21 points going 8 for 13 from the field and a perfect 3 for 3 from the line.

The Warriors take to the court again next weekend as they host a pair of games against tough cross-divisional teams in Ottawa and Carleton.  The games are part of the Think Pink weekend at Waterloo on Friday and Saturday with tip-off set for 6:00 pm.
