The Warriors figure skating team took on the rest of the OUA the past two days at the East Elgin Community Complex in Aylmer finishing seventh overall while rookie Rebecca Brown (Waterloo/) shined bright winning three medals overall. On Day 1 of competition, Brown won a silver medal in the Open Solo Dance while adding a bronze in the Open Rhythm Dance with partner Karina Wilk (Mississauga/). On Day 2, Brown captured another bronze medal, this time in the Dance Fours, again with Karina Wilk (Mississauga/) for her second bronze along with Darshak Patel (Pickering/) and Kaitlyn Brushey (Huntsville/).
Other strong results included a fourth place finish in the Pairs Fours skated by Kaitlin Wilk (Mississauga/), Rowan Staines (Guelph/), Mikaela Moyer (Aylmer/), and Alexandra Lee (Kingston/) as well as a fourth place finish in the Gold Freeskate. Outstanding work by all Warrior figure skaters and a big thank you to the coaching staff for leading this strong group of student-athletes!
