Women's Rugby picked up a huge 17-10 win at Western yesterday in the Bracket 2 quarter-finals.
The Warriors went up 7-0 on a
Heather Bews (Oshawa/) try before Western came back to make it a 2-point game at 7-5. Bews then punched in another try to take a 12-5 lead into half.
In the second half, Waterloo continued their pressure and
Emily Curwen (Burlington/) would march in a try after beautiful ball movement from the Warriors. Western added a late try but it would be as close as they would come as the black and gold earned the 17-10 win.
Bews finished with 10 points while Curwen had five and
Sarah Sue-Ping (Cambridge/) added two with a successful convert on the first try of the game.
The Warriors will now face Trent in the Bracket 2 semifinals on Friday at 5pm in Peterborough.
