The Warriors field hockey team put together an outstanding final weekend of play, hosting McGill and York on Warrior Field.
On Saturday, the Warriors took out McGill 4-1 thanks to an incredible effort from rookie
Hannah Cook (Waterloo/) who netted four goals in the win. With those four goals, Cook now has seven on the season including six in her last two games played on Warrior Field.
Marley Dowling (Waterloo/) was solid in net making several big saves including this one on a penalty early in the contest.
On Sunday, it was another rookie who provided the heroics as
Taylor Goodhue (St. Thomas/) scored the tying goal with just three minutes left in the contest as the black and gold earned a 1-1 tie with the two-time defending champions York to wrap up the season with a 4-6-2 record.
The Warriors are flying high into the OUA Championship hosted by the Guelph Gryphons next weekend.
