The Warriors field hockey team put together a polished 60 minutes of action on Wednesday night on Warrior Field as they battled the visiting Western Mustangs under the lights.
After a scoreless opening half, the Warriors went to work as
Hannah Cook (Waterloo/) (32nd minute) got the black and gold on the board with a dribbler that got past the Mustang keeper.
Western responded just seven minutes later to even the game at 1's before Cook tallied her second of the game after a beautiful pass up the middle from
Eileen Tudorica (Toronto/). Cook's second of the game and third of the season put the Warriors up 2-1 with just over 11 minutes to play.
Waterloo would add one more as Cook set up
Taylor Goodhue (St. Thomas/) who made no mistake on the breakaway for her team leading sixth goal of the season, making the final 3-1.
The Warriors will enjoy Thanksgiving weekend off before returning to Warrior Field next weekend for a pair of games against McGill (Sat, Oct. 19 at 9am) and York (Sun, Oct. 20 at 8am).
