The Warriors got off to exactly the start they wanted to as rookie Chelsea Lawson punched home a try in the opening 10 minutes to give Waterloo a 5-0 lead.
Toronto then responded with 12 straight points but Lawson punched home another try in the last second of the opening half and Jamie Lee Walker split the uprights with the conversion to make it a 12-12 game into half.
The second half saw both teams battle it out for position before Toronto broke through with three tries down the stretch to take the game 27-12.
Waterloo will have next weekend off before returning to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 against Brock in St. Catharines.
