It was senior night at the PAC as
Julia Pavlik (Waterloo/) and
Caitlin MacLeod (Mississauga/) took to the PAC Gymnasium for the final team in their career. Both put forth strong efforts in the game as Waterloo dropped the contest 74-55.
Guelph outscored Waterloo 26-14 in the second quarter and held on to their lead for the rest of the game to earn the win. Guelph shot lights out going 40.3% from the field while Waterloo operated at 31.7%.
Pavlik finished with 10 points in the contest including two 3-balls and also took home an extra souvenir in her final game taking a shot to her eyelid that would require stitches after the game. MacLeod had 3 points in the loss.
Ann Stewart (Yellowknife/) led the Warriors in scoring with 11 points while
Sydney Wilson (Guelph/) had 10.
Aphia Ward (Beaumont/) was strong on the boards with a team high eight rebounds.Â
Sarah Holmes led the visitors with 17 points in the win.
Waterloo will play Guelph again in their next matchup this coming Wednesday on the road before closing out their season on Friday night in Windsor against the Lancers.Â
