The Waterloo women's rugby team put together another solid 80 minutes of rugby, topping the Toronto Varsity Blues 21-8 on Saturday afternoon on the lower CIF Fields. Â
After a tough season last year where the Warriors went winless, the black and gold have the ship headed in the right direction with new head coach
Rebecca Delaney at the helm. Â Waterloo now has two wins in their opening three games and look poised for the post-season.
Danielle Duncan (Waterloo) punched in two tries for a game high 10 points while
Jessica Delaney (Stratford) added a single try. Â
Eleta Mitton (Simcoe), one of two Warriors of the match, rounded out the scoring with 6 points on three successful converts. Â
Lauren Mills (Kitchener) was the other Warrior of the game. Â
The Warriors will be back in action next Sunday with their final home game of the season against the stingy Brock Badgers. Â Game time is set for 12pm. Â
