The Waterloo field hockey team picked up an exhilerating tie on Wednesday night at Warrior Field when it looked as if they were going to drop the game 1-0. Â Western took the lead early in the contest as Tamara Evans got one past
Hilary Neeb (Wellesley) in the 12th minute. Â
The Warriors continued to battle but couldn't find the equalizer until the black and gold were awarded a corner in the 70th minute for the final play of the game. The play was setup beautifully capped off by
Jennifer Mead (Mitchell), her third goal of the season to give Waterloo the 1-1 draw.
Thanks to our Warrior fan for capturing the moment.
The field hockey program also honoured their graduating seniors who played their final game on Warrior Field;
Kaylee Lock-O'Connor (Hamilton),
Katrina Schigas (North Vancouver),
Hilary Neeb (Wellesley) and
Jenna Remedios (Ajax) and would like to thank them for their incredible dedication to the program.
