The Waterloo field hockey team picked up two shutout victories in Guelph today, blanking rivals Western Mustangs 1-0 followed by a 3-0 win over McGill. The Warriors have got themselves off to a stellar start to the OUA season going 3-1-1 over five games and sit in second with nine points.
Waterloo played a complete 70 minutes taking care of business in both ends of the field in their opening match as the black and gold blanked arch rivals Western. Rookie
Logan Shewfelt (Waterloo) scored the lone goal in the 64th minute two secure the two points.

Stephanie Snyder (Waterloo) who stole the show, potting three goals for the hat trick to lead her Warriors to the 3-0 win over the McGill Martlets. Snyder now has five goals in as many games, the second most in the OUA. Snyder scored in the 7th minute to give Waterloo the 1-0 lead and added two more in the 43rd and 56th minute. The Warriors will be back in action next Saturday as they take on York for the second time this season. The game will be played in London.
