Stingy defence leads Warriors past Badgers

The Waterloo women's rugby team improved to 2-1 on the season handing the Brock Badgers a 24-5 loss on a muddy Saturday afternoon in St. Catharines.  Waterloo's defence has been the story the past two games allowing only two tries in 160 minutes of action.

The Warriors put together a balanced attack to pick up their second straight win putting them in a tie for second spot in the Shiels Division with Western who is also 2-1. 

Alexis Blair (Mississauga/)Laura Braga (Georgetown/)Lauren Mueller (Mississauga/), and Emilia Pruszkowski (Deep River/) all contributed with one try each while Megan Colwell (Spencerville/) added two converts finishing the game with four points.

Adding the Badgers lone try was Emily Voisin, her first of the season.

The Warriors, who have now outscored their opponents 74-10 in the last two games, will continue their three game road trip with a contest in London against the Western Mustangs next Saturday.
