Women's rugby fall short to Badgers in OUA quarter-finals

After settling nothing in regulation the two teams went into overtime where nothing could be decided so they went to penalty goals with Brock hitting 3 of 3 and Waterloo missing all three kicks, ending their season.

Brock held the lead for most of the game thanks to tries by Katie Faust (Port Elgin, Ont.) and Misha Maric (Scarborough, Ont.).

Waterloo came by with determined runs in the second half to even the score at 10-10.  Scoring for the Warriors was Savannah Gentile (Oakville/) and Briana Cunningham (Waterloo/).

Badgers place kicker Kristin Fairbairn (Sarnia, Ont.) kicked the winning penalty goal to give Brock the exciting 13-10 victory.  Brock moves on to faces the McMaster Marauders in the OUA semifinals while the Queen's Gaels pay a visit to powerhouse Guelph in the other semifinal.
