Norris

Ben Norris

Norris played for the black and gold from 2007-12 serving as team captain for his final two seasons. He is also a graduate of the Waterloo Minor Baseball Association, Premier Baseball League of Ontario, Waterloo Jr. Tigers, and K-W Junior Panthers programs.

Following his playing days with the Warriors, Norris went on to coach alongside Tim Pegg as an assistant for five seasons. Norris also has extensive coaching experience with the K-W Junior Panthers, and a variety of sports at the high school level while serving as a Physical Education and Leadership teacher at nearby Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School in Waterloo.

Norris is no stranger to the UWaterloo campus having served as an Academic Advisor for Kinesiology, and the Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator for AHS before entering his current profession, teaching.

Norris is also well acquainted with the Department of Athletics and Recreation having worked in various roles including as a co-op student in the 2009 and 2011 winter terms, and was the winner of the J.O. Hemphill Award at the 2012 Athletics Banquet.
