Ari Grossman makes the short trip across University Ave. to join the Warriors after working with the Laurier Golden Hawks in several capacities for over 10 years including the last seven under the same title. Â Grossman is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier completing both his BA and MBA.
As Associate Director of Business Operations at Laurier, Grossman was responsible for the delivery of marketing, communications and all service operations of the Golden Hawks. Â He was also a key part of all strategic planning and developing a ticketing strategy in order to achieve annual targets and foster continuous growth in the department.
Grossman developed and implemented a majority of business processes and policies and was responsible for budgets of over $4.5 million, including revenue generation of over $1.5 million annual.Â
In addition to his Associate Director of Business Operations role, Grossman has worked as a Sports Information Coordinator and has served on committees at both the OUA and CIS level. Â Grossman has also been a Sports Information Officer at the World University Games four different times. Â At the games, Grossman's primary duties included communications and interaction with the Canadian media team.
Grossman's key responsibilities at Waterloo will include the long range strategic planning as well as the day-to-day implementation of all business operations, facility operations, marketing and promotion portfolios. Grossman will work closely with other members of the department leadership team to ensure programs offered to students are contributing to the vibrant student experience.Â
