Jesse Candela is excited to be beginning his 5th year coaching with the University of Waterloo. He is returning as the running backs coach. Prior to that he was the defensive assistant with the Warriors from 2017-2022. Before joining the Warriors, Jesse was a running back coach & run game coordinator with Jacob Hespeler SS coaching the team to win their third consecutive WCCSSA title. Prior he spent five season with the Cambridge Lions organization coaching multiple levels including the running backs for the OPFL Junior Varsity team. Jesse is a Project Manager for Pride Signs in Cambridge where he lives with his wife Natalie and 3 children Ayden, Rory and Lily.Â
