Brendan Conway

Brendan Conway enters his 7th year with the football staff. He is maintaining his roles as Special Teams Coordinator for the 5th year in a row, and is moving to the offense to become the Receivers Coach & Co-Offensive Coordinator. Conway played for the Warriors from 2011-2015, finishing in the top 10 in tackles in Waterloo Football history, being recently dethroned from the top 10 by some of the players he coached.
 
Coach Conway demonstrated a passion for coaching while he was still a player.  He has coached at the minor level for several years.  He began coaching as a positional coach with the Burlington Stampeders for 2 years while he was a student-athlete at Waterloo.  Conway then joined the Waterloo Region Predators for the past 8 years, where he has carried multiple coaching roles as Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, Head Coach, Linebackers Coach, and 4 years as the Coaching Director for The Predators. He is now in the role of Coaching Development with the Waterloo Region. 
 
Conway has also been involved with the OFA and Team Ontario Football. He has twice been a part of the International Bowl in Dallas, Texas, where he served as the Linebackers Coach for the u16 team in 2017, and as the Special Teams Coordinator in 2019 for the u18. As well, he has been on the staff for the u16 East Challenge from 2017-present, where for 2 seasons he was the Special Teams Coordinator and just finished his 2nd season as the Defensive Coordinator, obtaining 3 Silvers and a Bronze in his time. Additionally, Conway has been working with the U Sports East-West Bowl, 3 times as Special teams Coordinator in 2017, 2018, & 2019, and was the Defensive Coordinator for the 2022 Bowl.
 
Brendan lives in Waterloo, and was recently married to his Lovely wife Natasha Makovora on April 29th, 2022.
