Waterloo, ON - The Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the departure of men's soccer head coach Mark Worton.
During his tenure, Coach Worton achieved a career record of 28-42-18. In 2022, he led the Warriors to an impressive 7-6-2 record and a spot in the OUA semifinals after upsetting the No. 1 York Lions. Additionally, Worton received the OUA West Division Coach of the Year award in 2018 for his work with the team's 7-8-3 record.
Mark will be moving onto a senior leadership role with the Burlington Soccer Club in the new year.
'We would like to thank Mark Worton for his 7 years of service to the university and the men's soccer program and wish him success in his new role with Soccer Club Burlington', commented Associate Director, Athletics Brian Bourque.

In the near future, the Waterloo Warriors will be initiating the process of searching for the next men's soccer head coach.
