It was Senior Night at the PAC as the Warriors took on cross-town rivals Laurier on Saturday night at the PAC. The two combatants were tied at 24's early in the second quarter before the Golden Hawks went on a 18-6 run to take a 42-30 lead into half.
From there the Hawks remained in control to take the game by a score of 67-58.
Seniors
Claire Mitchell (Calgary/),
Aphia Ward (Beaumont, AB/) and
Sydney Wilson (Guelph/) were honoured prior to the game while Ward and Wilson went out in style, both having solid games in their final game in the black and gold.
Ward finished with 10 points, five rebounds and one assist while Wilson put up nine points, seven boards and added a team high three assists.
Leading the way for the Warriors was
Vanessa Hughes (Hamilton/) who closed out an impressive sophomore season with 15 more points. She finished her season, scoring 11.3 points per season, the 30th best in OUA.
Breanna Hudspeth (Burlington/) also had a very solid game with eight points while leading all players with an impressive 14 rebounds.
This young Warrior squad hopes to get healthy and with some highly touted recruits locked in for next season, will make even more noise in the OUA west.
