Morgan Berg (Kitchener/) was solid in net as the women's soccer team opened up their 2019 with a tie and loss to Brock and Guelph.

On Saturday afternoon, the Warriors earned a hard fought 0-0 draw with the visiting Brock Badgers. Berg turned aside all five shots faced while Mylissa Tom (Waterdown/) led the way with two shots on target for the black and gold.

On Sunday, the Warriors offence again ran cold as they could not find the back of the net in a 1-0 loss to Guelph. Berg was again stellar with nine stops in the loss.

Waterloo is back in action next Sunday against the visiting York Lions at 1pm on Warrior Field.
