The Warriors women's soccer team picked up their third straight win, topping Laurier 1-0 in what was the first Battle of Waterloo contest of the season.

The Warriors put together a strong 90 minutes of action in the road contest with Gabrielle Kim (Richmond Hill/) playing outstanding in the middle, winning all aerial and ground battles to help set the tempo of the game. Samantha Code (Waterloo/) also played a pivotal role in the midfield while Ciara Dunne (Waterloo/) was excellent with her box to box play and scored the winning goal off a great header.

In net, rookie keeper and Waterloo Athlete of the Week Morgan Berg (Kitchener/) earned her second shutout in as many starts.

The Warriors are back in action tomorrow against Western in London at 1pm.
