The Warriors men's rugby team is off to the post-season for the first time since 2012, and the black and gold put an exclamation mark on one of their best season in over a decade, defeating the Toronto Varsity Blues 89-7 on Sunday afternoon at the lower CIF Field.
Mitch Voralek (Waterloo/)Â was again a major factor for the Warriors hitting 12 of 13 converts for 24 points, giving him a league leading 124 points on the season.
John Henderson (Doncaster/) punched home five tries for 25 points while Paul Shroeder and
Marcus Tanko (Scarborough/) each had a pair for 10 points each.
Five other Warriors found the score sheet to round out the Waterloo attack.
The Warriors enter the post-season as the fourth seed and will host the fifth seeded Trent Excalibur next weekend on home field. The exact date and time is yet to be determined. Stay tuned to gowarriorsgo.ca for schedule details.
