Warriors split weekend games with Western and Windsor

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Waterloo's undefeated streak came to an end on the weekend in a hard fought 1-0 loss to Western on Saturday but the Warriors came back strong on Sunday to beat a solid Windsor Lancers squad on Sunday on home turf.

In Saturday's game, Alyssa DeSantis scored the lone goal in the 86th minute.  Madison McDonald (Kitchener/) was strong in ned stopping five of six shots faced.

In Sunday, Ciara Dunne (Waterloo/) put the Warriors up 1-0 in the 42nd minute and the black and gold would hang on for a crucial three points.  McDonald made another five saves to pick up her second shutout ot the season.

The Warriors improved to 3-1-3 with the win and sit alone in fourth in the OUA west with 12 points, six back of the first place Mustangs.  Waterloo will be back in action under the lights next Friday against the York Lions.  Kickoff is set for 6pm.
