The Warriors men's rugby team will be feeling thankful heading into Thanksgiving weekend after a solid performance, beating RMC 40-24 on Friday afternoon at the lower CIF Fields. The win is the second straight for the black and gold, who moved to 2-4 on the season.
Three Warriors put up 10 points in the win including super sophmore
Mitch Voralek (Waterloo/) who had 10 points on two penalty goals and two converts. One of Voralek's penalty goals was a booming kick over 40 yards that split the uprights.
Also putting up 10 were
Aaron Goodridge (Waterloo/Waterloo) and
Bailey Kalef (Mississauga/) each punching in two tries. Rounding out the Warriors attack was
Darius Steffler (Toronto/Toronto) and Paul Hummer, who had a try each in the win.
The Warriors will now turn their attention to their biggest match of the season on Saturday, October 14 as they battle the Laurier Golden Hawks at 1pm on CIF Field #1. The game is set for 1pm.
