Box Score For the second straight Battle of Waterloo game, the Warriors scored in injury time to earn a 1-1 draw with the Golden Hawks in the school day game hosted by Laurier.  Defender Gabrielle Kim (Richmond Hill/) put her boot behind a 25 yard strike that got past a diving Hawks keeper Ashely Almeida in injury time as Waterloo picked up a crucial point in the OUA west standings.

The play was set up by a beautiful throw in from Alisia Mar (Waterloo/) who found the foot of Natalia Villegas (Kitchener/) inside the box.  Villegas one touched the ball back to Kim who did the rest with the strike.

The same story line occurred back on September 10 at Warrior Field when Danielle Erb (Waterdown/) got a trickler past Almeida, also in injury time as both teams fought to a 1-1 tie. 

Madison McDonald (Kitchener/) wad solid in net in the tie picking up five saves while Almeida also had five stops for her Hawks.

The Warriors moved to 5-2-5 on the season, good for fourth spot in the west with 20 points.  Laurier is three points ahead for third, but has one game in hand.

The Warriors will enjoy Thanksgiving Weekend off before getting back to it next weekend with their final road game in Windsor on Saturday (Oct. 14) followed by a home contest against the top seeded Mustangs on Sunday (Oct, 15).  The game is scheduled for 4pm on Warrior Field.
