The Warriors let a must-win game get away from them on Thursday afternoon at Laurier as the Golden Hawks scored 24 straight points en route to a 24-10 win over Waterloo.
After Waterloo opened the game with a penalty goal by Jason Park, the Hawks took control of the match with four straight tries and two converts. Four different Hawks contributed to the attack. The Warriors finished off the game with a try by
Frank Tran (Brampton/Brampton) while Park was successful on the convert to round out Waterloo's 10 points.
Waterloo is now 1-4 on the season and sit in seventh in the OUA standings with 6 points while Laurier moved up into the sixth and final playoff spot with 9 points.
The Warriors will be in tough in their final three games of the season against tough OUA competition which includes games against McMaster, Guelph and Western.
