Marauders second half possession game overpowers Warriors on Alumni Day

The Warriors hosted the McMaster Marauders in a Sunday afternoon contest which saw McMaster emerge victorious by a score of 45-25 in front of former rugby alumni. Jason Park had a strong kicking game alongside Kyle Kraemer (St. Clements/) and Aaron Goodridge (Waterloo/) who added trys for their team while McMaster's Jamie Leveridge scored 4 converts and 4 penalty goals. The Warriors fall to 0-2 on the season.

McMaster's  Kieran Hurst scored a try in the opening minutes of the game but the Marauders missed the convert to take an early 5-0 lead. The Warrior's quickly answered after Kraemer made an incredible individual run to score a try and knot the game 5-5.

The Marauders added a late penalty and try to go into the break ahead by a score of 25-12.

McMaster would come out of the break swinging and bring an offensive surge to their game. After Jason Park scored a penalty kick for the Warriors to get within 25-15, the Marauders would make a 20-yard push in the scrum to score their next try and extend the lead to 32-15 after the convert.

Park would add another penalty goal before Goodridge made a strong run for the Warriors to score a try and shorten the lead to 38-25. McMaster would add one more try and convert late to nearly double-up the Warriors 45-25. The game would end by a score of 45-25 for the visiting Marauders.
