Warriors come up short in second half push by Lancers

Box Score The Warriors travelled to Windsor Sunday afternoon to face the Lancers. Waterloo opened the scoring on a goal by Manna Drygala, but conceded two late goals to lose the match 2-1.

The first half saw both teams exchanging touches on the ball, but little possession time was to be for either team. Windsor had the best chance in the first half, but the shot was turned aside by Lesia Bandura (Kitchener). Bandura made 2 saves in the effort.

Windsor made a few changes to open up the second half in an attempt to try and spark the offence, but it was Waterloo who opened with an attack. The Warriors' Manna Drygala opened the scoring in the 49th minute.

The Lancers seemed to be motivated after this goal and scored off a relay header by Becca Feurth in the 64th minute to knot the score at 1-1. Jaclyn Faraci would capitalize on a Waterloo defensive mistake in the 79th minute to take their first lead of the game.

The score would end 2-1 for the Lancers as they move to 4-3-0 on the season.
