Warriors open season with 40-3 loss to Mustangs

The Waterloo men's rugby team opened up their 2012 season with a 40-3 loss to the Western Mustangs on Wednesday afternoon in London.

Western out powered the black and gold squad all game long putting most of the pressure on Waterloo's defense and walking away with a comfortable victory.
Scoring for the Mustangs was Ryan Tomlinson who notched two tries in the victory while brother Rory punched home one of his own.

Jack North, Mike Penczak and Conor Trainor each added single tries while Mike Santangeli added five converts to round out the scoring.

Zach Bogdon (Preston/) provided the lone points for the Warriors off of a penalty goal.

Waterloo shift their attention to the RMC Paladins who visit the Warriors on Sunday as part of their home opener.  Kickoff is set for 3pm at the lower CIF fields.
