Offensive struggles continue in 2-0 loss to Marauders

The Waterloo women's soccer team lost their third straight game to start the season dropping a 2-0 decision to the McMaster Marauders on a rare Wednesday afternoon game at Warrior Field.  McMaster picked up the win in their first match of the 2012 season thanks to two second half goals.

Tara Dawdy (Burlington, Ont.) opened the scoring for the Marauders off of a beautiful corner kick by Taylor Davis (Minesing, Ont.) who bent it in perfectly into the body of Dawdy.

McMaster continued to pressure the Warriors backfield with several opportunities at goal.  Waterloo's keeper Lesia Bandura (Kitchener/) had to be sharp to keep the deficit to one.

Emma Mangialardi (Oakville, Ont.) provided the insurance marker for McMaster with a  beautiful strike from 30 feet out to secure the McMaster victory.

The winless Warriors now turn their attention to the perennial powerhouse Laurier Golden Hawks who visit Warrior Field for a Sunday afternoon game at 1pm.  McMaster host the Windsor Lancers on Saturday at 1pm.
