Game Summary

The Windsor Lancers walked away with a 3-2 win over the Warriors in women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.  Jaclyn Faraci (Lasalle) scored the winning goal in the 79th minute in what was a see-saw affair between the two combatants.

Carolyn Lott (London) opened the scoring for the Lancers in the 39th minute but Kristina Stojadinovic (Caledon/) answered just one minute later to send the score tied 1-1 into half.

Early in the second half, Adrienne Goldsworthy (Waterloo/) gave Waterloo their first lead of the game with her fifth goal in two games.  The Lancers continued to battle and found the equalizer in the 61st minute as Tania Mills (Innisfil) fired one past Warrior keeper Kala Studens (Sault Ste. Marie/).  Faraci then found the game winning goal to secure the three points for the visiting side.

Studens stopped five shots in the loss while Windsor's goalie Kelsey Knechtel (Grimsby) was busier making eight stops for the win.

The Warriors are back at it today against the Western Mustangs at 1pm on Warrior Field.
