The Warriors fell to 0-3-2 on the season following a tight loss to the Brock Badgers on Saturday afternoon on the road. The black and gold continue to search for their first win of the season following the loss.

Fifteen minutes into the first half, Badgers senior Alex Esposito (Mississauga, Ont.) recorded her first goal of the season off a scramble in front of the Waterloo goal.

Four minutes later (19th minute), Waterloo tied it 1-1, when Brock senior defender Stephanie DiMartino (Markham, Ont.) attempted to clear the ball but directed it into her own goal. Waterloo's Tara Butterworh was the last Warriors player to touch the ball and was credited with the goal.
Forward Kaitlyn Barnett (Kitchener/) had a great opportunity to put the Warriors up by one at the 56th minute but Brock keeper Luciana Di Paolo (Newmarket, Ont.) made a stellar save on the doorstep to keep the score deadlocked 1-1.
In the 84th minute, sophomore Larissa Bruzzese (Welland, Ont.) beat the Waterloo defender and crossed it into the box to freshman Meaghan Krawczyk (Stevensville, Ont.) who headed it past Waterloo goalkeeper Lesia Bandura (Kitchener/) for her second game-winner and third goal of the season.

In goal, Di Paolo recorded three saves for the victory. Waterloo goalkeeper Lesia Bandura (Kitchener/) turned aside 10 Brock shots in the loss.

The Warriors return home tomorrow to face the McMaster Marauders at 1pm.
