Warriors sneak by Blues with 20-15 win

The Warriors went 2-0 on the season merely defeating the Toronto Varsity Blues 20-15 on Wednesday evening.  The Warriors looked tired in their second game in five days but managed to battle through and pick up five cruical points in the standings.

Waterloo Athlete of the week Richard Lebel (Waterloo/) (Waterloo, Ont.) scored his third try of the season.  Zach Bentley (Picton/) (Picton, Ont.), Zach Bogdon (Preston/) (Cambridge, Ont.) and Adam Fitzpatrick (Waterloo/) (Waterloo, Ont.) each added a try.  Scoring for the Blues was Haddon Murray (Toronto, Ont.) with two tries and Alex Dwhytie (Etobicoke, Ont.) adding one.

Toronto contolled the ball and frustrated the Warriors who were forced to play solid defence most of the game.  The Warriors committed 22 ball handling errors, a big dissapointment after the dominating performance over RMC in their opener.

The undefeated Warriors (2-0) hope to clean up their offensive game on Sunday, September 19 as they play host to the also undefeated McMaster Marauders (2-0) at 1:00 pm.  The Marauders are also coming off a convining win over RMC.  The Blues (0-2) host the physical Queen's Gales (1-0).
